Well spent Christmas Eve on a Yacht

My Christmas Eve this year was spent on a Yacht with the closest people in my life! Couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate it. Some of us decided to book a yacht from 8am-4pm on xmas eve as we felt like a well deserving break was needed after a long year of hard work.

Pictures paint a thousand words, so here are some photos of our day of fun on the yacht!

Now this has got to be one of the most fun things I’ve ever did on a boat! Basically it was jumping straight off a boat. The amount of adrenaline rush we get from jumping off is pretty insane, but I enjoy it a lot. It kinda feels like we’re flying for awhile. 🙂

… This was when I knew I was going to fall

Sorry for posting this Russ, but this photo is just too good HAHAHAHAHA.

After a trip on the yacht I came to a conclusion that a swimmers’ core strength is only good in the water. Look at how we were struggling to balance on board! But trust me it was SUPER DUPER HARD. We got super ambitious at one point of time where we tried to have 4 people stand on the board at once, which we failed miserably at doing it. But at least we tried! It was really fun.

Well… Maybe it’s just Russell and I that cannot balance well on a board haha

Of course some of us experienced sea sickness when we were on the yacht. (Actually… only one haha)

But of course most of us spent our times chilling on the boat after a tough year of hard work in the pool. It was really an amazing feeling letting all that tiredness and fatigue from the year go away while listening to the sound of waves and feeling the currents flow over you.

Quite a bummer that she’s leaving for the UK for studies again next week, but enjoy your time over there! It’s definitely better to be studying overseas as compared to Singapore. Though I haven’t studied overseas before, I have to say that Singapore University is much more stressful than overseas university as everyone here is so competitive therefore it’s really stressful studying here.

And here’s Adrian Seetho, the man behind all the awesome swimming photos throughout this whole year! He really captured the greatest moments I had in swimming this year and I’m really thankful for it. It’s really awesome we all can finally hang out together without him being behind those lenses.

Here’s a photo with one of my greatest bro whose always willing to back me up in every situation, whether I’m right or wrong. I still remember when we first met as roommates in an overseas competition in 2009 and I dreaded rooming with him as I thought he was an arrogant person. But to be fair he does look like an arrogant person right? Hahaha nah I’m just joking.

Things immediately changed the moment we started talking as he was actually a really friendly and down to earth person inside. We may be the greatest assholes to each other but deep down we know that we just want the best for each other. Time really flies, it’s going to be 2015 soon and we’ve been through so much shit together, and I’m really glad to be able to have a bro like him.

We ended off with sore throats and sunburns after the boat party but it was all worth it. Glad we took many photos to keep them as great memories. Right now I’m kinda having withdrawal symptoms as I wanna go on the yacht again. Hope there will be opportunities like these in the future. 🙂 *cough russ said that he’s having another boat party for his birthday so I’m looking forward to it.

It’s been a great week of fun during my off season in swimming, I was really able to relax and enjoy my Christmas for the past week. But now it’s time to get back to reality and start training hard for the 2015 SEA Games. I believe that it will be the most exciting SEA Games for evereyone with all the support from our fellow Singaporeans. 🙂
