And the winner of the mascot is…

Mr Joseph Tan

Congratulations to him!

Joseph has been an avid supporter of Singapore Swimming and he also supported us throughout the games via Facebook.

Have spoke to Joseph and he told me that he wants to give the mascot to her niece, Megan, as her birthday present. Megan was really happy when she received it and she said that it’s the best birthday present she’s ever gotten!

She couldn’t bear to open the mascot as she was afraid that she might dirty it, she wanted to wait until she got home before opening the mascot. How cute! Haha. She’s also planning to sleep with the mascot so that it would inspire her to train harder. To Megan, the owl’s the fastest swimmer!

Being a swimmer herself she asked me, “Is it easy to win a mascot like that?” All I told her was that as long as she keeps training hard, she will win one next time.

Same for everyone else; don’t be afraid to dream big, as I have learnt from my swimming idol Michael Phelps, “The more you dream, the farther you get”.

Joseph is currently coaching her swimming and she is inspired to be part of team Singapore next time. I feel really touched by Joseph’s actions as he goes the extra mile to inspire Megan to train harder. That is what a true coach should like. I have definitely learnt a lot from their family.

Since the contest is over, I would like to thank everyone for all the support for Singapore Swimming!

For those who didn’t win this time around, don’t worry, I might have another giveaway coming soon. So stay tuned!

Happy new year to all and hope you all have a great 2014! 🙂
